Reynolds and Reynolds is seeking motivated and hard-working Entry Level Outside Sales Trainee to join our growing team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Entry Level Outside Sales Trainee, you will enroll in our 18 month training program that will involve job shadowing with seasoned sales representatives as they visit clients and sell our software products. The travel will vary based off your training territory. This field based training will assist in your education of our industry and solutions as well as allow you to observe the sales skills taught in the classroom training.

The classroom training is located at our award winning Reynolds University in Dayton, OH. You will complete different courses throughout the program including training on sales techniques, negotiations, dealership operations, and in-depth product training on our dealership Retail Management System. During this training program you will complete 12 months of customer service and installation training to help enhance your knowledge of our products and the benefits of our solutions. The Entry Level Outside Sales Trainee should be prepared to travel approximately 75% of the time during these 12 months. At the end of your training, when you are prepared with the appropriate skills and knowledge, you will complete a ten-day Sales Techniques Workshop, ending with a Closing Sales Presentation that will allow you to showcase the skills you have gained throughout the program and will prepare you for your own territory.

Once you complete the training program, you will be relocated to your assigned territory and become a Sales Professional. In this role you will be responsible for achieving designated monthly and annual quotas by selling Reynolds software products and services to new and existing customers. As a Sales Professional (and Trainee) you will have a home office and will be provided a company car, laptop, iPad, iPhone, and other office equipment.

The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD)’s Internship Program provides students and recent graduates valuable learning experiences and opportunities to make professional connections in the workplace.

As the sales and marketing arm for the State of Georgia, GDEcD plans, manages and mobilizes state resources to attract new business investment to Georgia, drive the expansion of existing industry and small business, locate new markets for Georgia products, inspire tourists to visit Georgia and promote the state as a top destination for arts events and film, music and digital entertainment projects. GDEcD Interns are able to shadow and work closely with the professionals charged with carrying out this important mission.

Responsibilities vary based on the particular internship. Typical assignments include focuses on research, marketing, event planning and execution, communication and public relations.

As the Centers of Innovation (COI) Intern, you will learn about Georgia's growing innovation ecosystem and its role in the economic development process. This intern will be assisting the COI Operations team based in Atlanta with various tasks essential to the success of our six individual Centers based throughout the state. This intern will also gain marketing experience by working with the COI Marketing team on events, social media, writing and other projects they are involved in. A qualified candidate must be a current student in college that has completed their second year and be majoring in business, economic, marketing, communication, or a related field and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Internship Information

• Interns must agree to the terms and conditions specified by GDEcD.


• Actual parking expenses incurred during the internship will be reimbursed, provided the intern follows the instructions provided by GDEcD regarding parking location and method (daily versus monthly payment, etc.). The internship supervisor will determine parking arrangements individually with the intern.


• No other personal expenses (housing, food, mass transit, etc.) are reimbursed.
